Raypure Disinfecting Lighting: Illuminate & Sterilize Your Space

The three-day Public Health Innovation Conclave, which commenced on November 12, 2021, witnessed the unveiling of a plethora of health products. Among these, the one that garnered the most attention was the first-ever Non-UV Indoor Disinfection Lighting, named RayPure. This innovative product, capable of eliminating bacteria and even the Covid-19 virus, was designed by the Hyderabad-based company, LEDchip Indus Pvt Ltd. The unique feature of RayPure is its ability to eliminate the carcinogenic or harmful parts of UV light.

In August 2021, this groundbreaking product received approval from the CSIR’s Centre for Cellular Molecular Biology (CCMB), as it can remove 95% of the Covid-19 virus in just 60 minutes. Its germicidal/virucidal property can be easily verified on-site by all microbiology labs. RayPure is user-friendly, safe, easy-to-use, and requires no recurring expenditure or maintenance. Unlike air purifiers, it operates silently, has no clogged filters to replace, and incurs no AMC costs.

The germicidal technology is transparent and well-understood by the scientific community. However, this is the first time it has been synthesized into a single LED (Light Emitting Diode) that emits light along with germicidal power. This was shared by Vijay Kumar Gupta, a Gold Medallist from IISc (1977) and the Managing Director of LEDchip Indus.

RAYPURE has been grandted patent on 15 April 2024. - "An Anti Viral Illumination Device for Sterilisation of SARS CoV2"
